That's a pity

Went out to a spot I've been looking at for a while and wondering how long it'd take the groundskeeper to get shirty if I rolled up in there with a kite and board.

The answer is - a long time. Spent some time trying to fly my little Ozone Cult 3.5 and didn't even SEE a groundskeeper. The problem is, it's gusty as all hell and the topography of the surrounding area makes it so. Couldn't keep the Cult in the air. At one stage, the trees around the edges of the field were almost bent double and there was no wind on me at all ...

It's a pity, cos it's like 2 football fields long!

  1. no beach near you ? try to spot some good places using google earth application. i suggest you use 3x height level amplification (tools->options) , so you can see good spots that are a bit higher (field on a small hill etc) so the wind can go better over it.

  2. Not really. The ocean coast is probably a 3 hour drive and if the beach is good enough for kiting then there'll be people enjoying the beauty of nature - by driving their cars, buses etc up and down the shore.
I've used Google maps etc and they're all NBG, unfortunately :(
