OMG the wind was wicked today! Thought I actually would need my 7m for once! Got down the beach after work and... it dropped right off :(
Had a few minutes of ok boosts, then went on to rotations, then messed around riding waves then gave up.
Tried to land the kite on the QR but got 'helped' by someone before I could fully understand how it all worked...
Better luck tomorrow!
Moment of the day was a front-roll loop transition, landing on the lip of a wave and surfing it out :D
Mood of the session was aah hmm bah.
It sucks when you only catch the tail end of the most epic weather in months :(
Weather was reported as 20 knots falling to 14.
Wind felt like... well, that exactly. It was rocking for the first ten minutes then went to crap, rapidly.
What I learned today...
• We got freaky wind yesterday - apparently, in Hikone (where the wind station is) they had 8 knots... Miyachi's friend went paramotoring up there, while his buddies here were grounded by the mad wind!
• Much prefer the Flydoor on the 'normal' footstrap setting.
• Only really warm enough for the 3/2 when air-temp is over 20.
